Perfectly Good Man and how inspiration came from a news item
about the parents of a tetraplegic, who help their son travel to
Switzerland to commit suicide.
Patrick Gale also talks about his writing style which he calls a
"a double helix" with two narrative lines which he says reflect
they way our own memories work.
"It's as much a book about paternity as it is about
