Julie Summers tells Nicola Barranger about how she talked to
wives, widows and children of ex-servicemen and particularly the
ex-Japanese POWs about the legacy of the War. Although it was hard
for the ex-soldiers, the psychological legacy of the war for their
loved ones, would leave its mark for generations.
