Since winning the BBC's Young Musician of the Year in 2004, Nicola Benedetti's feet haven't touched the ground. Earlier in 2007 she performed a new concerto by one of Britain's greatest living composer's John Tavener - Lalishri.
She has also secured a six-album recordings contract with Deutsche Grammaphon.
She has already recorded two of those albums, which include Szymanowski's Concerto No. 1, Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E Minor, Mozart's Adagio for Violin and Orchestra, Schubert's Serenade and Ave Maria, and James MacMillan's From Ayrshire. And she is still not yet 21
